FSG is a LEVEL 4 B-BBEE
It is rare to find a business
partner who is selfless. If you are lucky it happens once in a lifetime.
BOARD CHAIRMAN; DIRECTOR: NEW MARKETS - MUTSHUTSHU NXUMALO
Nxumalo is much respected for his integrity, impeccable liberation credentials, leadership skills, business experience, networks and academic qualifications. Nxumalo’s shareholding is both personal and representative of a consortium of professional black business persons with expertise in the fields of risk management, corporate governance, accountancy, economics, business management, forensic auditing and engineering, to name a few. Of considerable benefit to FSG is Nxumalo's extensive network in the top echelons of the hierarchy of corporate business, government and politics that exposes FSG to markets and informer-networks that were previously inaccessible, and which renders every entity within that consortium a physical base of operations for FSG such that FSG can genuinely lay claim to a national infrastructure and footprint. Nxumalo holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering and has interests in various businesses, including an engineering consultancy and project management company and an entity that specializes in risk management services and products with applications in the civil engineering sector. He is the eldest son of a former Homeland Premier, holds a senior leadership position in the traditional Nxumalo clan (probably the largest in South Africa, that is represented in several African countries, and is the ancestral root of the Zulu nation). He is a senior consultant to government structures and is the immediate past Chairperson of the influential South African Road Federation (a self-regulatory body of engineers who specialize in road infrastructure development). Nxumalo’s shareholding in FSG has enabled FSG to develop a forensic engineering capacity, the first commercial service of its kind in South Africa. In addition to his role as the Chairperson of FSG’s Board, and his role as FSG’s resident forensic engineer, Nxumalo is tasked to establish FSG in new markets. Nxumalo is a 50% shareholder of FSG.
CEO; NATIONAL DIRECTOR: OPERATIONS - WILLEM JARDINE
Jardine founded FSG in 2003 to incorporate its predecessor entities, "Jardine Investigations" and "Jardine Security". Jardine is the incumbent CEO of FSG’s Board and is FSG’s Director: National Operations. He is one of a very few private/forensic investigators in South Africa who has traded for more than 25 successive years, and has been a pioneer in the development of the disciplines of risk management and forensic investigation in South Africa. In past years, he served in executive positions on several industry-representative and self-regulatory bodies, and in an executive position at provincial level on the SAPS Community Policing Board. He was also a consultant on the development of the White Paper on Safety and Security in the late 1990's. He remains involved in several industry-related network groups. Jardine is a prolific researcher whose initial training was in world of academia and intelligence, and he is the “brain” behind the conceptualization, implementation and evolution of the SERVICES OF FSG. He is also FSG’s “scribe”, authoring FSG’s Company Profile, Service Profiles, Communiqués, Diary Extracts and FSG’s website. A notable achievement is that Jardine has committed every forensic investigation, audit and tracing that FSG performs to a written SERVICE PROFILE that sets out the scope of the work of the task, puts time lines to and time estimates for completion, and that quantifies the cost of the work. No other similar service provider has done so to the extent that FSG has. As a result, clients who instruct FSG know from the outset what they are committing themselves to and FSG has a standard against which it can measure its performance. It is Jardine’s personal oversight of every forensic investigation, audit, tracing, risk management and security service performed by FSG that drives FSG's operational successes and ensures a uniformly high standard of service delivery. In his non-existent spare time Jardine is an avid biker (of the “ride ‘em as fast and as far as you can” variety), is the editor of, and a journalist for, an online biking magazine, and is an aspiring novelist in what he refers to as the 'fictionalized fact genre'. Jardine says that when he retires (assuming that FSG does not kill him first), all he wants to do is research (which he says is also and excuse to travel extensively) write, play with wood and, of course, ride his bikes as far and as fast as he can. Jardine is a 25% shareholder of FSG, having relinquished his former 100% shareholding in the BEE transformation of FSG in 2011.
BOARD SECRETARY; NATIONAL DIRECTOR: ADMINISTRATION & FINANCE - SHELLEY DEGHAYE
Ms Deghaye has managed the
finance and administration functions of the former Jardine
Investigations since 1998, and of FSG since its incorporation in
2003. She has been a bookkeeper and administrator from when she
was first employed at the age of 16, and for many years owned her
own bookkeeping practice. She has a passion for auditing, and is a
self-taught auditor of distinction. It is her astute management of FSG’s finances and
administrative procedures that enabled FSG to grow from a small,
Durban-based business with a regional client base, to an accredited
B-BBEE company of corporate and national proportions, which in turn has made it possible for FSG to launch its TFA/RAFI
Mentorship Program CORPORATE SOCIAL
project and the appointment of FSG to the Panel of Investigators of
an extremely powerful, corruption-busting organ of government of
THE PUBLIC PROTECTOR. Deghaye and Jardine,
both widowed became a couple in 2007. In her spare time, Deghaye
is an avid gardener. Deghaye is a 25% shareholder of FSG.
